First ever GEM training held in Bangladesh

We have completed the first ever GEM training in Bangladesh during 13-14 February, 2010 by D.Net. Movie raises interest in GEM

I was able to invite a few of my colleagues to watch the movie "Relevance of ICT and Gender". this was the movie I produced during our digital story telling workshop.

I could sense that they wanted to know more about gender, so when finally one of them broke the silence, the conversation about what gender is started and everyone was sharing and participating on the discussion. At least it was a good start to tickle their thoughts.Read more

GEM is like a door....

The digital story telling was a pleasant revelation to me. It was an opportunity to learn so much in a short span of time about GEM practitioners and how their lives changed.

Thank you for sharing everything. You were all so open not just like a window but like a door inviting me to enter and participate.

I hope that I would be able to be as open as you all are and be to be able to communicate better.

cheers,

eloisa

2nd GEM Global Training Exchange

During the 3-day 2nd GEM Global Training Exchange, I learned a lot from the experiences shared from all the practitioners who presented and shared. I meet a lot of friends from different countries of the world or shall I say different GEM Practitioners of the world. It's really a great learning experience.

outlive your social vise

Listening to John Dada's presentation was touching, in a way that little children were implicated for adults misfortunes, and they were answerable to that. Imagine the voiceless to become a voice to the voiced people, without any protection! I was attending a GEM workshop in Bali, Indonesia but I was deeply saddened by the torture inflicted on children which led to deaths. Lying down on my bed in the villa (hotel room), in Ubud village, I switched on the t.v to watch BBC. Oh.. what a coincidence!Read more
